When the 2011 schedules were release, if someone would have said that on Thanksgiving Night, Jim and John Harbaugh would be going head to head in a matchup that could be a potential Super Bowl Preview, they would have been accused of craziness. If someone would have said that out of the two teams, Jim would be coaching the team with the better record, again, they would probably be crazy. Both is true. The San Francisco 49ers (8-1) travel to Baltimore to take on the Ravens (7-3). The 49ers have one of the best defenses in the league, while their quarterback is still learning his identity. However, he has a coach that understands his limits and does not try to push him above them. The Ravens have been able to defeat the good teams, including their rival, AFC Champion Pittsburgh Steelers twice, but have struggled against teams under .500, including loses to Jacksonville and Seattle. But when the Ravens play a well balanced game, their chances of winning rises. Understanding this, look for the Ravens to use a balanced attack, and take advantage of the fact that the 49ers had to travel 3000 miles on short rest. In their first head to head matchup, This one is for John.

The Match of the week, The Chicago Bears hosting the Green Bay Packers in a rematch of last years NFC Championship game. These two teams have hated each other since the beginning of time. The Bears defeated the Falcons in week one but fell short to the New Orleans Saints. The Packers have been hot. They defeated the Saints in week one, followed by the Panthers in week 2. A year ago, the Packers were not at full strength. They won a Super Bowl with nearly their second string team. Coming back at full strength, they are almost unstoppable. This will be a true test to the Bears who lost a week ago if they can slow down the champs.

Super Bowl Predictions
Baltimore Ravens over the Green Bay Packers

The Baltimore Ravens have gotten rid of a lot of "dead" weight on their team from the previous years. Derrick Mason, Willis McGahee and Todd Heap were all pro bowl players, however their pro bowl days are over, and they were not able to help deliver the city of Baltimore a Super Bowl Championship. Now having a well balanced receiving core, with the addition of Lee Evans and Torrey Smith (rookie), the Ravens now have the ability to stretch the field. With guys such as Ray Lewis and Ed Reed who are both near the end of the road, this team looks to come and play harder than ever before because it is now or never. The Ravens are my predictions to win the 2011 Super Bowl.

The Green Bay Packers a year ago won the Super Bowl with nearly an entire second string. This year they are dangerous. Their starters are returning, and with a lot of teams making a lot of changes in the NFL, they are one of the few teams who are still intact. I would not be surprised to see this team win their first ten games. However, the chances of winning a Super Bowl two years in a row are very slim, and with a team like the Baltimore Ravens who has a lot of heart, I look for the Packers to fall just short.
